NTUST-Indonesian Student Association (NTUST-ISA) participated the annual NTUST Student Clubs Exhibition for the first time after its five years foundation. This event was held throughout the day, from 12.00 to 18.00, in front of NTUST Administration Building and International Building. Even though this event was actually purposed for NTUST Student Clubs to invite new local students to join their clubs, NTUST-ISA had its own different way to attract the new comers. We decorated our stall differently, had all Indonesian students wearing “Batik” at that day and two Indonesian students, Evina Wiguna and Jenni Tjandradjaja, wearing Indonesian traditional costumes, offered Indonesian traditional drink (Es Cendol), and also distributed brochures to the visitors.

During the exhibition, many students left their personal information as they said that they were interested in participating future events that are going to be held by NTUST-ISA. Not only the students, there were also some professors and university staffs showed their interest to Indonesian culture. One of the visitors, Professor Guo-Hsin, Yang, said, “It’s really nice to have this kind of international student community in NTUST. I will be so glad to come to their invitation for the future events.”

After the exhibition ended, at the same day, NTUST-ISA angklung team had an opportunity to introduce Indonesian culture. They performed an Indonesian song, “Rayuan Pulau Kelapa”, in front of the audiences. This performance was a result of great team-work so that the whole team can perform beautifully. During the performance, one of Indonesian student, Marlistya Citraningrum, sang a part of its song with her wonderful voice that resulted in a great applause from the audiences.

Thank you for all Indonesian students who have taken part in this exhibition. Thank you for all Taiwanese students who have visited and felt interested in Indonesian culture. Hope all of us can take part in NTUST-ISA’s forthcoming events. Bravo, Indonesia! ^_^
